Voices inside the wind Kept me living in shadows My head banging Against the wall Making the same mistakes Piling up on the shores of regret... Mumbling in the gutter Nothing I hated more - Those voices inside the wind Somehow I crossed The turbulent waters Many years ago… With tentative steps The voices stopped Replaced by the numbness Of so many yesterdays Finally, In the spirit of tender whispers Speaking greatly, across centuries In voices soft and unafraid I found some peace Listening to the wind…... |
