People taken away Ones who made us whole Taken away before their time Struck down in their prime Struggle to make sense Look for answers beyond our control You’ll learn to live again but don’t ever forget me The hurt never leaves completely But eventually the good memories Will outweigh the tragedy Eventually, you’ll come to terms but don’t ever forget me Wail against the thief Who stole a precious soul Lord, help us Don’t let anger turn to bitterness All the hurt may never leave but you’ll come to terms You’ll learn to live again but never forget our loving memories... |
