Poem: I’m waiting for something to make me whole
I’m yearning for answers beyond my control
I’m burning bridges as I go
I’m learning to forgive, struggling to forget

I’m walking through the slums of my screaming dreams
A blood red sun melting my ice cream schemes
My extremes tucked away safely behind the scenes
I turn a blind eye to the bursting seams
My life’s shedding its skin, the end never begins
My world spins complete with whining violins
Silence is my best defense
Against my endless dribbling nonsense

I’ve learned to forgive, still can’t forget
I burnt bridges as I went
I yearned for answers beyond my control
Til I realized I had stolen my own soul...
