Title: Fatal Attraction

Date Submitted: 11/13/2008

Poem: The day I lost you was the day I lost control
Your ghost everywhere I turn
spending midnights trying to forget.
Taking too many chances jumping from the fire
into the frying pan endlessly back and forth
Trying to stay in touch with you
The longer the sands of time fall
The closer I want… the closer I want to get to you.
Can’t explain …
What were the last words I spoke
Love you enough to wish you
The best in the future
Even if I’m not in it
Such a lie…

Your reflection everywhere I turn
Jumping from the fire into the frying pan
Endlessly back and forth again
Trying to stay in touch with you
Spending midnights trying to forget,
taking too many chances
Wandering aimlessly dreaming through the danger
What is this fatal attraction with might have beens
Why am I shouting in the wilderness
I will not be ignored!
What were the last words I spoke
Love you enough to wish you
The best in the future
Even if I’m not in it
Such a damn lie!...
