Night terrors distorting caress Salty emotions I can’t suppress She don’t understand Says I let the mood swings control me When I sleep 8 to 9 hours And tire in the afternoon She says I’m over-medicated The apple of my Eve I try to tell her 7 and a half to 9 hours Sleep per night and a short 20 nap Is the way our bodies were meant to function She says she doesn’t know anybody who sleeps that much And any doctor will tell you that’s too much She says I’m smart I’ve learned to play the disease Says I give into it too easily Yes, I do But not for the reasons She thinks It’s the money I spend recklessly When I am with her That’s the DISEASE And I do give in too easily… ... |
