I look into the mirror and I see the lines, Of years, tears and too many beers. But my youth is still in full view Just behind my eyes. Still in my mind, Visions Of a pine tree swinging with my brother And an eight millimeter movie with sis. Things that made us one And each other. In a surreal real world of no worry or pain, We played in the rain til the sun came out. But the years roll on and the times Together become lost In a hurried world of news and views Of uncertainty, of marriage, of money Of distinct worlds and different days On the downside of youth. Just in front of our eyes In our real worlds Lead us as we walk Into.... |
