footseps in the hallway crying at midnight I held her and walked her to sleep under bridges of time a handful of explosives I haven't changed even in the slightest there's nothing about me of interest but the skies descend to touch me I am a creation of the Divine that made the seasons for me, one word in the sentence give me the damaged angels drifters with nothing on their hands waster cooler watcher wanderers suckers singers poor performers failures in thriving fools in waiting total losers self-abusers give me their hands and I'll shake them my people; my tribe bad luck veterans dreamer-creamers thrice denied and call them my night sleepy crawly crying fighting emotional baggage-handling wrecks sinking ships little shits worrier curiouser let me go. ... |
