Love at first sight Burning so bright Intoxicating delight We moved too quickly We found it was wrong We listened to a Siren's song By false love we had been bitten As our life began to unfold For so long the story went untold The background music unwritten Was it the timing that was wrong To write a beautiful song? We tore each other up We spat each other out We both made broken promises We'd play the game as before Said we'd talk more We didn't, left us in an emotional war We couldn't work things out Always ended with a shout A Roller coaster ride Both screaming inside... |
