It's a long walk down a broken road Longing each day not to implode And I know I'll bend before I break But I've lost the difference I wanted to make The numbness blinds me to the light of pay The apathy I swallow marks the way Memories I create are too soon to fade Like a movie in my mind, never played On my knees begging for normalcy Knowing I will live forever in complacency Hiding in shadows from the public eye Living to their norm is only a lie I'll again push through this dark spell For the hope tomorrow brings a new tale... |
