Title: Broken
Author: Kudzu

Poem: I broke the vase that held my soul
I drank the fountain that held my salvation
Down the river of fire I continue to troll
And for this ride I've paid more than my toll
It all begins to fade in the fire's light
The screams engulf us from the canyon walls
And I'm too damned tired and hopeless to try to fight
Pushing down the sorrow and fear with all my might
I've arrived at the altar of all that's dark
Mourning for a life I have yet to live
I begrudgingly give my hand to receive the mark
Closing my eyes as the hounds begin to bark
It's all lost, complete and over
Now only a ghost, the devil's lover...
