Poem: You're my shadow in sympathy,
A wave crashing through my mind
The first tear in the rain,
In my heart you're the chains that bind,
Footnote amongst the history,
The blood that stains my sky (The bloodstain in my sky)
Doors to the past are opened wide
Nothing ever really dies, it just hides
in secret corners of your mind.
Talk to me of your pain again,
From my window I'll see you cry
watch a life drowning in misery,
on the memories burning inside
living for a love so long ago,
A love so destroyed by your lies.
Believe in a love so perfect,
kill it with all your heart,
You’re my last thought in the darkness,
the candle burning through the night
Lonely soul so cold and comfortable,
Yours to hold until the light.
Cuts to the past can be opened wide
Nothing ever really dies
it all becomes the parts
of the secret corners of your mind...
