Goodbye to me The me that I knew It is time to discover The me that is new Goodbye to the stars Shooting through my mind Which turned into fire Smouldering embers left behind Goodbye to the paranoia Terror, fear, suspicious thought To the disappointment, emptiness When it all comes down to naught No longer will I be The belle of every ball Or the sobbing heap of loneliness At the end of my fall The drugs have started working My thoughts are slowing down I welcome the relief But I’m scared that I may drown. As I start on my new journey I wonder who I’ll be I wonder how much will be left Of little old me?... |
