If I could sing in song, or poetry, Of winds of change and ancient days, Of winter's gift as of bundled joy, Of the song revealed beyond the angel's harp, And tales of yore newly spun in wispy waters, Legions to be drunk into the body and the soul. If I could speak in truth, The memories of my own youth, The visions, The transforming light, In skies of blue, Angels! Clear as day to night, Though I shall keep in secret many things, For God nestles more peacefully, In those who drift in silent dreams...... |
