The river flows through the mind, Sometimes it rushes, There is a flurry and panic as it moves. Smashing leaves against the barges unkind, Clouding thought, spurring creative crash. But it will always find a slower solace, In its path and time, A place perhaps the navigator has the reins, For when it rushes so- There can be no human gains. The river rushes through the mind, The chaos unkind, A pill, the mania subdue. For in the moment it rushes not in mine, And from its momentary stillness it grants me gold, This river in its momentary stillness, Granting solace too precious to be sold.... |
