The cold air falling on my face I haven't talked to you in nearly sixteen days Counting smoke rings Escaping the sound of the silence Memories of your tongue caressing my back Your breath on my neck Feeling the seconds between heartbeats Take another shot to drown out The sound of the silence The coldness in your eyes The way you ignored me as I cried Broken tears streaming down my face The way you left without elegance or grace Hearing my head pounding with the sounds of the silence Loving you til I bleed Aching needing wanting Fearing your hand but wanting your touch Just to escape the sound of the silence... |
