Poem: When it's April, May or June
I'll burst forth from my cocoon
Of winter's mantle fluttering nigh
To be your summer butterly
I'll be the ladybug that creeps
Up your arm and falls asleep
I'll be your lily in the stream
And late night cricket when you dream
I'll be your raindrops on the pane
And sunny, funny-weather vane
I'll be your rainbow in the sky
And neon sparkler in July
The four-leaf clovers that you find
Will let you know you're on my mind
And when you want to hug and swoon
I'll be the love in every moon
I'll be the willow to your oak
The thunder to your lightning stroke
And then....when future winters roar
I'll make these promises once more
...
