guilty feelings attacking my brain where do they come from? am I insane? the fire is burning, bring down the rain strike up the band let them feel the pain/ tension building the night grows dark the smell of gasoline all that's needed is a spark repentance fills the air dread and doom cometh hear our cries oh Lord send your angels among us/ the emptiness inside the darkness where there's no light happiness fleeting with every pound of my heart beating depression invades the peace for which I pray God lift me up from this bed I've made/ The struggle within this life of sin powerful opposing forces drop me to my knees but I'll pick myself up again thorns and briars upon this path travelled less the mind fully depressed cuts and scrapes, bruises that bleed but not to worry now for the Father and Son have taken the lead... |
