Standing in a dark room Waiting for someone to come in Rescue me from endless horrors from within my mind Taking shape one at a time Sounds in the darkness bearing down on me Are they real, will they see? Come to feed on sorrow And bask in my despair They are the demons you do not see but are always there Gnawing on my flesh Tarring my soul I am dying for my sins Please let me go Tyrannical laughter echoes around my small-darkened room Descending madness takes it toll Wraps it leathery wings around and closes in A bite so deep the poison is in Dragging me down to a gray black hell Locked in my sorrow forever will I dwell Sweet madness is my only friend Tormented visions are my end "We walk in this world every day but do we ever really see what is around us? Do we ever see the light and the darkness of both sides?" ... |
