Poem: Standing in a dark room
Waiting for someone to come in
Rescue me from endless horrors from within my mind
Taking shape one at a time
Sounds in the darkness bearing down on me
Are they real, will they see?
Come to feed on sorrow
And bask in my despair
They are the demons you do not see but are always there
Gnawing on my flesh
Tarring my soul
I am dying for my sins
Please let me go
Tyrannical laughter echoes around my small-darkened room
Descending madness takes it toll
Wraps it leathery wings around and closes in
A bite so deep the poison is in
Dragging me down to a gray black hell
Locked in my sorrow forever will I dwell
Sweet madness is my only friend
Tormented visions are my end
"We walk in this world every day but do we ever really see what is around us? Do we ever see the light and the darkness of both sides?"
