The clamor of hearts and wringing of hands The blistering summer of distant lands Beckon so softly to follow the sound Of harrowing voices who always abound On bent knees and elbows I beg for the truth The bruising of souls and bleeding of youth The cries that pierce the dark shining light The actions of those whose voices are trite These are the things that lead me to listen To give my heart heed in rain as it glistens For those who suffer I give my heart purely For those who have not I understand poorly I wander aimlessly throughout this existence Falling down slowly to accept its insistence ... |
