Another pill, another day, just to keep the thoughts of suicide at bay. The urges that sway me back and forth never seem to stop, so I ask myself: who am I? The little boy who grew into this man is hidden deep in our safe place, we play and play, remembering the day we had to go away. Daddy why so mean? to cause the pain no one's ever seen, all I could do was to hide and escape, from the monster that dwelt in our home, to watch the anger and see the rage where crying was everday. Daddy why so mean? to the little boy inside of me. Another pill, another day and hope the thoughts will go away.... |
