"Why must we suffer hardships and disease?" we often wonder. Pain? Adversity? War? Famine? Death!?...Our best philosophy cannot put these concerns to rest or ease. Depression, mania, infirmities of the mind — subjects of psychology that are all causes of man's misery: the gruesome outcome of these maladies is suicide! But we're not without hope or God's compassion. Today we can go on with meds and healthcare; we learn and cope. It's easy to lose faith when we are low and in despair... but we are in God's scope and hands too — this put your trust in and know.... |
