ii. gooey tar baby slow... down... buddy... take... it... easy... little... man... listen... listen... really listen to what is bouncing around... bouncing off the sticky black walls of your skull... ssssqqqqeeeeaaaakkk... ssssqqqqeeeeaaaakkk... listen to the fragile, trembling wheels of your shopping cart, good buddy ole pal... i think they''re trying to tell you something... i hope they are anyway... it''s all you''ve got, bud... carefully... carefully... pay attention... hear that whisper? yeah, that quiet hushed whirring sound as you push it through the halls... if you hold your breath sometimes it seems louder... hush now... wait... wait... there it is again... wonder what it could mean... you''ll have to tell me someday, buddy... when you''re ready... no rush... i know it''s dark inside... be patient... feel around and you''ll find your way out someday... keep pushing your cart... keep at it... then tell your good pal all about it... maybe your tongue will come unstuck again... maybe not... push... push...... |
