When happiness awakens in me, why do I self combust? All the good that I have achieved, slowly starts to rust. Love, friendships, life, the feelings are so numb, With those that are the closest, the spoken words are dumb. The darkness buried deep inside, slowly spreading like a disease, Take away this evil cancer, won''t someone help me please. Trapped, confused as to why, slowly I''m embroiled. Looking for the answers once more, on how you can be foiled. The spirit that has been present, and was allowed to flourish and fly. Is halted by you presence darkening my path, I don''t know why.... |
