Sedate me.. Bring unto me the chemical calm. Quieten the brain, still the tongue, numb the pain. Save me from myself. In this place I am still. Not happy, but warm and comfortable. At last I can rest, lay my weary head, sleep a dreamless sleep free from the thoughts that plague me like a thousand buzzing pests. So bring unto me the chemical calm, it will do me no harm. Until I wake... Consciousness hits like the bite of a snake. I am in pain yet again. There is nothing sadder than the sadness of nothing When all is well but you are not... |
