Poem: |
As gentle waves of peace wash tears away The wind caresses gently ‘gainst my soul. My anguished sorrow blends with dawn of day As gentle waves of peace wash tears away. ‘Tis hope I cling to through the clouds of grey As strength to rise again becomes my goal. As gentle waves of peace wash tears away The wind caresses gently ‘gainst my soul. Too soon my heart slips into dark of night Surrounded by the pain from mem’ries past It robs my strength and steals away my sight Too soon my heart slips into dark of night Crushed -- blinded now, I fall from heaven’s light E’en though I fight to live ~ I fear can’t last Too soon my heart slips into dark of night Surrounded by the pain from mem’ries past.
