Poem: I still feel crazy sometimes.
This carefully-woven intricate illusion of sanity,
Of I’ve-got-it-together
Could ravel apart with one small tug.
Catch the edges before they split.
Shore up the sea wall before the waves overcome it.
By trusting, I shore up the wall a little more.
Someone else bears a tiny bit of my burden,
But is it too much to ask?
Easier to carefully apply the smile, the bright, happy eyes.
I shall not cause you to suffer as I have suffered.
My pain is my own....
