I am lonely. Not sad, not depressed, not bipolar. No. I am lonely. And this with a family on the other side of the door; one husband, one daughter, one son. All well-intentioned. Most often kind and loving. But devoid of understanding the essence of me. Hence the loneliness. The parallel lives lived inside these four walls. The separate track for the others who move on joyfully as my life stands motionless waiting for me to catch on to get it to master the game so I too can participate. Perhaps then I will no longer feel so lonely. ... |
