Sadness looms like a catastrophic wave hovering over me Feeling like a soldier fighting the wrong war A babe without its mother A lioness who can''t find her cub A lover who refuses to love A clown who is not funny, a rainbow on a sunny day In a maze I cannot escape Like a trapped animal in a cage Misunderstood, not loved enough A swan who lost all beauty River that never runs Quicksand that swallows my body Like I am in a crocodile''s mouth A tiger ripped my heart to shreds Pirahna that encompasses me A tree that won''t grow A diamond that never shines A beach with no sand Alone Ignored Unloved Distance Avoidance Non-existent except to myself Annoyed in my own skin Thankful sadness loves me if no one else does Rejected and abandoned Like reciprocating negative actions... |
