I must learn to quiet my mind So that some peace I might find My mind is racing - It does not stop I slept too early, now thoughts do pop They come into my head with worry and regret I have to hurry up because it feels like a bet I need to get better, and do it oh so fast Because time is a ‘tickin, and work will still last It’s there moving on, and continuing without me; I feel such great angst - Certainly I do see. I need some quiet now in the days of my respite But it’s hard to keep my mind quiet; I think I can, but not quite I must learn to quiet my mind So that some peace I might find ... |
