feet pushing careening through sheer space gliding, kicking, catapulting upward, outward glazing over gravity on a swing forever falling from the sky as a child i never asked why stepping over cracks in the sidewalk chalking hopscotch squares ever fearful of getting mud on white shoes i startlingly stumbled into the blues ''twas the sadness, madness misting my eyes resounding, reverberating no one heard my cries stolen by the wind whirls entangling my crimson curls caught up in a cauldron where everything dies... |
