Poem: feet pushing
careening through sheer space
gliding, kicking, catapulting
upward, outward
glazing over gravity on a swing
forever falling from the sky

as a child i never asked why
stepping over cracks in the sidewalk
chalking hopscotch squares
ever fearful of getting mud on white shoes
i startlingly stumbled into the blues
''twas the sadness, madness misting my eyes

resounding, reverberating
no one heard my cries
stolen by the wind whirls
entangling my crimson curls
caught up in a cauldron
where everything dies...
