Can we stop time for a moment? Just you and me; And dance in the raindrops, While the sun is setting? My stomach feels sick, This anxiety of life; Will there ever be enough time, To dig a hole through this strife? I can’t expect you to stay, But my heart breaks when you leave. The summer sun is our spotlight, But soon the summer will cease. Our lives will separate, Our hearts will distance. But I need you to resuscitate My hope''s dying existence. Your touch excites my spirit A spark in a dark room You hold my heart and everything in it Like rusted treasures in a tomb. It’s hard to say hello, When goodbye is so near. You softly kiss my lips And whisper in my ear. “Can we stop time for a moment? Just you and me; And dance in the raindrops, While the sun is setting?"... |
