Crumbs lost to a panhandler Tithing made to god Lithe young bodies tangled in copulation Memories back thirty years down the line Life is so good in what we give and take Learning process guided by karma''s hand But still all pain in the end Broke a leg chasing you babe Hung out to dry with my naked ass Took a double shot of my medication Tried to be twice as happy Copulations memories seem like a holiday Spanish breeze plays its song on Phoenix evening Loving the sea of skin color Accordion plays Spanish sunset I''m me today and you tomorrow I loved letters and sex when it wasn''t a crime Alyways been crazy It hurts at least half the time But I wouldn''t trade it for poetry Take my pills, even a few too many sometimes Especially when I had a hard day Listening to Bob Dylan on the accordion I hate to say goodbye But it''s time to take my place at the supper table ... |
