Poem: Janet, I remember every word you told me.
Hey! Janet don’t you know those words
Those words will be used against you someday.
When I woke up through drunken eyes.
Staggering through your heartless good-bye.
Lost in the deadness of nothing left to lose.
Begging for another smile.
Looking for the end of the road.
The start of another whining night.
I’m running out of tape on the answering machine.
The biting sting under my skin.
Sorry, I just can’t let go.
If I told you I loved you would you still be moved?
Hey, Janet don’t you know those words
Those words will be used against you today.
Janet don’t tell me you’ve forgotten?
The 3 words you said to me......
