The ghost of my skeletal framework Inlaid with organs of life I scudded into ending like a marathon runner Erased all meaning of meter My anthropomorphic blended to liquid Wake at two o''clock in the morning a mucus bag Simplicity virus for the mentally deranged Just an ex-junkie of life Always working on stabilization Home my final meaning of a good incarceration I love the inmates Take my meds religiously Even found a field of work with the plant life Cure my blues with jugs of coffee Had to improvise from the liquor Religiosity and electroconvulsive therapy Now that I''m grandfather I''ve become a role model Just another eccentric senior citizen Playing house much better with all my quirks It''s all happenstance Living guardedly on my mental continent.... |
