Title: a million shades of emptiness
Author: Anonymous
Date Submitted: 2/12/2005

Poem: Crimson river
take me away.
Only empty thoughts for company,
hammering thoughts, torment
holding on to reasons
that have lost all meaning
long before they were ever spoken.
Words that just don't come now.
Lost like the meaning
lost meaning
lost reason
reason to be.

The heavy inky blackness eternally prevails.
Timeless.
A reminder of all who tried,
all who tried to change it.
To make it.
Their mark, their stain, their residue,
Their pain.
Another layer, another attempt,
another tear weighing down
the million shades of emptiness
the heavy inky smothering blankness,
sole feeling upon a numb, worn out, abused body.
lift the world from your shoulders they say,
lift!
they can't comprehend....
