Ignited by time Lost from waiting Blindfolded with doubt Toiling for bread A poverty stricken poet''s life Condiments of mental illness Lack of confidence All the mundane meals Traversals eating your time away Reasoning on the side of doubt Postponements for what you think a worthy line Dowsing the fire of creation with pharmaceuticals Unavoidable genetics The meter goes by with a train whistle I bury it all with pillows of sleep Personified in the agitation of a prison break Secretly I make the plans For just another day in the sun... |
