Poem: Tuned in on an unknown part of my prehensile mind
Like gambling
Which one puts the icing on the cake?
Drifted away to voices in my head
Attrition equals a mulligan of direction
Like a train yard, which track do I take?
Give me the salvation of daily labor
Job distracts thought, buys time
Age summons non-being
Is this living or just a bad dream
Miracle in disguise
Blues grinds me out of the dirty freight yard
Playing manic dice
Six in the morning
One ganglion of box cars on the long steel track
Pleasure in the desert sunrise
Pain will enter with the progression of the day
It''s all crazy
Jug of liquor
That''s how I live
Hope I never see you there
I like the solitude of the long rail
...
