Poem: Thirteen pieces to the puzzle
Known to some as a dogma
Worn smooth over the eons
Others frighten by the fits of hysteria
One fourth of the nation called it a mystifier
I honor it with the nostalgias of antiquity
From outside it looked schizophrenic
Witches were in kindle at the stake
Hierarchies ruled with castigation
Me a mere child picked through the aged dogma
All on my own, but for the renegades of literature
Intuitively knowing there was nothing to know
Just the mystery of the morning light
No plans and space immeasurable
Man the superstitious hunter, looking for omens
With a mind full of conjugation
Strange pastime happenstance universe...
