Poem: Such a blase attitude
While my world dissolves
I''ve always been on the edge
Couldn''t fall off, only slip
Just a minor player
Cleaning up after modern day bourgeoisie
Life never changes much at the bottom
Only travelling vicariously at the movies
All my itineraries are made in Hollywood
I''m living on a geographic inland of sand
Called the Sonoran Desert
I''m native by karma, Midwestern reject
Spotted my dream home on television
Back in the fifties, while growing up in the midwest
Phoenix, where the uppercrust come for the winter
Even with the great recession
In the bottom of a downturn
I eke out my victuals
While the world economy falls in shambles
This gypsy does his best
The insane always hobble along
Defying failure with organic menu
Always living on this third world inland
Servitude is my calling card
Just a step away from suicide
Emaciated transplant...
