And there you went, I think you grew I’ve never seen anyone else move like you. So slow and vague, no energy wasted Looking back my way And there you went where I can’t follow. So here I sit, alluringly thin As unusual as the scent of my skin. Insubstantial as I’ve always been Fighting a fight I cannot Win, alone And still I sit but I can’t see you. And there they are, So similar to who we were before Bright in the gloom. How much do we love you? Brilliant as stars To the sun and the moon And there they are but I can’t reach them. And who are you? What to do I’ve forgotten so many people you all seem new. I’m way past forgiveness but still sorry for What I’ve done What I do And who are you? I don’t remember... |
